The sophisticated electronic music that Apollo 440 records is uniquely rich with references no less intelligent. The album Millennium Fever for instance is an entire tribute to the French philosopher Jean Baudrillard. The postmodernist thinker, who died in 2007, and was in the height of his career at the time of the album's release in 1994, is quoted in the track Astral America, a term he coined in his America essay, in the track The Perfect Crime, the title of another book by Baudrillard and other hyperreal references by Apollo 440 in this spirit.
